Job summary

Sony AI America invites research interns passionate about ML-based technologies for movie, game, and music creation, plus ethical operations of generative AIs. You will research and publish findings that can impact Sony Group products and entertainment studios globally.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in related fields, with strong PyTorch and deep learning skills, and a track record of top-tier conference publications. Location flexible (remote, Tokyo, NYC).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
• Proven knowledge in generative AI applications including deep generative modeling, computer vision, and audio signal processing.
• Strong analytical and programming skills in deep learning using PyTorch and visualization with TensorBoard.
• Experience in research communities with publications at top-tier conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and apply novel algorithms for generation and editing of video, sound, and 3D visual geometry (including 3D human motion).
• Analyze and mitigate ethical flaws in generative models, including memorization detection and data attribution techniques.
• Publish findings in top-tier conferences; work with internal scientists and engineers to advance research.
