Job description

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, thisResearch Engineerwill play a key role in conducting research, designing protocols, and implementing core infrastructure components that power our network.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in research and development in the crypto space, with a strong track record of contributions to protocol design and implementation
  • Professional Rust experience
  • Deep understanding of decentralized networks, consensus mechanisms, cryptographic primitives, and protocol-level concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or PhD with a focus on distributed systems, cryptography, or blockchain technology a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on various aspects of decentralized networks, consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and protocol design
  • Design and architect novel protocols and algorithms to address scalability, security, and performance challenges in crypto
  • Implement and optimize protocol-level features and infrastructure components using Rust
  • Write technical whitepapers, research reports, and documentation to communicate research findings and protocol designs.
