Job summary

Backcountry is seeking a Replenishment Planner to own end-to-end replenishment for core and never-out-of-stock SKUs, turning demand signals into purchase orders and protect sales and margin. You will work between merchants, planners, vendors, and the distribution center to tune reorder points, safety stock, and lead times across categories.

In 6–12 months, you will lift in-stock rates for top sellers, reduce overstock, and build a weekly exception process the merchant team relies on.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in replenishment, inventory planning, allocation, or supply chain analytics in retail/ecommerce.
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables and lookups.
• Knowledge of core inventory metrics: in-stock rate, weeks of supply, turns, sell-through, safety stock, reorder points.
• Experience using AI to improve daily tasks.
• Experience creating and managing purchase orders with vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain inventory recommendations.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end replenishment for assigned categories, generating POs based on forecasted demand and on-hand inventory.
• Optimize replenishment across multi-source vendor supply chains for availability and profitability.
• Set and maintain replenishment parameters by SKU and vendor.
• Monitor in-stock rate, weeks of supply, turns, sell-through, and vendor fill rate; act on stockout risk.
• Run weekly exception reporting with actions for merchants and planners.
• Partner with vendors to confirm availability and improve lead-time and fill-rate.
• Improve replenishment tools, reports, and automation to reduce manual work.
