Job summary

Merck & Co. seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) to engage in bidirectional scientific exchange with Scientific Leaders across the US territory.

The role focuses on non-product scientific information, clinical trials comprehension, and alignment with company scientific goals. The RMSD will support scientific exchange, research, congress activities, and insights, while traveling up to 50% within MD, WV, VA, NC, and Washington DC.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD degree.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant therapeutic area experience beyond the terminal degree program.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with key external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other ethical guidelines relevant to pharma.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs for access to approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains medical contacts within the company.
• Addresses scientific questions and directs inquiries to appropriate resources.
• Raises knowledge of dynamic scientific environments within Areas of Interest.
