Job summary

CORRE, INC. is expanding its team and seeks a Certified General Appraiser or real estate professional with appraisal experience and potential to obtain licensure soon.

The role focuses on preparing reports for right-of-way acquisitions and eminent-domain proceedings, with direct collaboration with engineers, attorneys, and project managers. Ideal candidates hold Wisconsin credentials and have experience with partial acquisitions, before-and-after valuations, and multiple property types,

Qualifications

• Currently holds Wisconsin real estate appraiser credential in good standing.
• Wisconsin Certified General Appraiser credential strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, planning, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience preparing appraisals for right-of-way, eminent domain, transportation, infrastructure, or public improvement projects.
• Experience with partial acquisitions and before-and-after valuation strongly preferred.
• Experience appraising residential, commercial, agricultural, special-purpose, and vacant properties preferred.
• WisDOT appraisal experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with appraisal review, litigation support, or expert testimony beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare appraisal reports and valuation analyses for right-of-way acquisitions.
• Complete before-and-after valuations for acquisitions and easements.
• Conduct field inspections and evaluate property characteristics.
• Read highway plans, plats, and surveys.
• Research and analyze market data and comparable sales.
• Explain appraisal methods and conclusions to stakeholders.
• Maintain appraisal workfiles and property records.
• Mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced staff.
