Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead its QA/QC program across multiple U.S. manufacturing locations.

The role supervises a Quality Coordinator and guides site lab teams, combining quality systems ownership with analytical testing oversight and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has a 5+ year QA/QC background in industrial manufacturing, strong auditing credentials (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor), and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing or related setting.
• Laboratory supervisory/leadership experience required.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
• Experience with wet chemistry, materials testing, instrumentation, and SPC.
• Strong willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve ISO 9001 Quality Management System and audit readiness.
• Lead third party registrations and customer audits.
• Provide direction and training to lab and site quality personnel.
• Oversee testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure validated methods and calibrated instruments; manage quality metrics.
• Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality performance indicators.
