Job summary

Herd Security is seeking a QA Engineer on a 6-month contract to own quality and deployment-safety for our agentic platform that delivers AI-generated content to Slack, Teams, and LMS.

You will design end-to-end test suites, implement regression coverage for multi-tenant environments, and define pre-production verification workflows, collaborating with engineering to embed testability from design through release.

Qualifications

• Proficient in TypeScript or similar typed language with ability to read code
• Experience designing automated test strategies for full-stack web apps (API, integration, E2E)
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and multi-tenant data models
• Experience testing applications with third-party APIs, OAuth, webhooks, rate-limited services
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating testing into dev workflows
• Strong written communication; QA findings must be clear and actionable

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain end-to-end test suites for the platform (content generation, microlesson delivery, LMS integrations)
• Build automated regression coverage for multi-tenant scenarios (tenant isolation, permissions, data integrity)
• Develop evaluation approaches for AI-generated content and safety checks
• Define pre-production verification workflows (smoke tests, canary deployments, rollbacks)
• Collaborate with engineering to bake testability into new features from design
• Create realistic test environments modelling enterprise configurations
• Investigate production issues and drive root-cause fixes with engineering
