Job summary

CAI is hiring a QA/Disaster Recovery Test Engineer for a full-time, fully remote role to validate disaster-recovery failover and data integrity across two GovCloud regions in support of a state government health and human services client. You will own test execution and participate in semi-annual test cycles, reporting results and remediation items.

Candidates must have 3+ years in QA/test engineering in cloud environments and hands-on AWS GovCloud experience, with HIPAA/PHI-scale data awareness

Qualifications

Requires 3+ years of QA or test engineering experience in cloud environments.
Hands-on AWS GovCloud (US) experience — not just commercial AWS.
Experience validating disaster-recovery failover against defined RPO/RTO targets.
Must be a U.S. citizen due to GovCloud access.

Responsibilities

Execute test plans validating disaster-recovery failover across two GovCloud regions against defined RPO/RTO targets.
Lead recurring DR test cycles, documenting results and tracking remediation items to closure.
Validate data integrity after failover or migration events — checksums, referential integrity, and dashboard output vs. source.
Support cutover rehearsals during transition, including rollback-procedure validation.
Partner with the Technical Development Lead and DevOps/SRE team on test environment setup.
