Job summary

Outlier is building a remote program where engineers train AI models by reviewing and scoring AI-generated code. As a QA Coder, you review code, rate model responses, and write prompts to challenge AI systems. This is a 1099 contract, with work from anywhere, hourly pay up to $34 and additional incentive opportunities through Missions.

We welcome applicants from multiple LATAM countries and beyond, with a Bachelor's in CS and live production code experience. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail including grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code: read and flag errors, inconsistencies or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses across dimensions such as accuracy, instruction following, and presentation.
• Write clear, well-structured prompts to challenge AI models and push coding ability.
