Job summary

Aviary Health is seeking a Remote Pulmonary Rehab Therapist to support patients in our pulmonary rehabilitation program. You will conduct assessments, design exercise plans, and guide patients through goal setting and progression from a remote setting.

You will collaborate with nurses, exercise physiologists, and dietitians to deliver education on healthy lifestyles, monitor progress, and document outcomes to optimize care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in respiratory care or related field.
• BLS, CPFT, RPFT, CRT or RRT certifications required.
• ACSM-EP certification preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical or rehabilitation experience with pulmonary patients.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive health assessments of pulmonary rehab patients, including fitness, medical history, lifestyle, and wellbeing.
• Monitors progress and adjusts rehabilitation plans; tracks exercise tolerance, heart rate, BP.
• Verifies orders and administers aerosolized meds, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, and oxygen.
• Performs pulse oximetry tests and 6MWT.
• Delivers oxygen therapy as appropriate.
• Teaches respiratory muscle training and breathing techniques.
• Performs cardiac EKG monitoring.
• Develops individualized treatment plans including exercise prescription.
• Collaborates with pulmonologists, nurses, exercise physiologists, dietitians.
• Provides updates on patient progress and challenges.
