Job summary
Welo Global is seeking experienced Portuguese Brazilian Copy Editors to support a long-term, remote project for a leading multinational client. This freelance/independent role offers ongoing work with flexible scheduling and regular feedback.
Candidates should bring 2+ years of translation experience or 5+ years without a degree, native Brazilian Portuguese, strong English, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality translations across marketing, UI, product, and support content using CAT
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese with excellent command of English.
- 2+ years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field or
- 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree
- Demonstrated experience translating English to Brazilian Portuguese across a variety of content types, including informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content
- Experience using CAT tools
- Excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver high-quality translations while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced localization environment
- Strong communication skills, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback and revisions
Responsibilities
- Translate and copy-edit content from English to Brazilian Portuguese.
- Adhere to project timelines while maintaining quality.
- Collaborate with the project team and MTPE pipeline.
