Job summary

Canopy Mental Health & Consulting seeks a Psychotherapist as an independent contractor in Minneapolis, MN. You will provide individual, family, couples, or group therapy in outpatient and/or telehealth settings, with self-determined hours.

Contractors are responsible for their own benefits and must meet licensing requirements; supervision is required for pre-licensed clinicians, with reimbursement splits outlined (70/30, 65/35 with supervision, etc.).

Qualifications

• Fully licensed in Minnesota to practice psychotherapy (LP/LPCC/LMFT/LICSW) or pursuing licensure.
• Commitment to culturally responsive services and equitable care.
• Knowledge of insurance billing processes and private insurance contracts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a minimum caseload average of 3 client hours per week.
• Provide psychotherapy in outpatient and/or telehealth settings.
• Document in EHR system and adhere to licensing board standards.
• Refer clients to appropriate levels of care and other professionals.
• Obtain and maintain professional liability insurance.
