Mavida Health, Inc. is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a flexible, part-time, telehealth role focused on women’s mental health.

The position starts as a contract with a goal of expanding to full-time as we grow our telepsychiatry services. Qualifications

• Must hold an active Psychiatric NP license in CA, NY, NJ or TX.
• Minimum of two years in women’s health or perinatal mental health.
• Comfort with virtual care and telehealth technologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments, including reviewing medical histories and mental status examinations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy.
• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care for women’s health or perinatal issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatments.
• Maintain accurate EHRs and ensure compliance with laws and ethics.
• Stay current with best practices in psychiatric nursing and women’s health.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for people who are excited to build, innovate, and help redefine women's mental healthcare at scale. We are hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to help expand access to this level of specialized, whole-person care as we continue to grow.

Through our expert-led training, they will have the opportunity to develop specialization in women’s mental health across hormonally influenced life transitions, including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, PMDD, and perimenopause/menopause, with a focus on supporting patients through the complex intersection of biology, identity, and lived experience.

• Has strong communication skills, as all work will be conducted remotely; should be able to convey complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner (or willingness to grow in that area).
• Is comfortable with the technology and/or willing to learn new technologies to facilitate patient-centered virtual care

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients, including reviewing medical histories, performing mental status examinations, and formulating diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, including prescribing appropriate medications, therapy, and other interventions.
• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care to individuals, with a focus on women's health or perinatal health issues.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic treatment.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic health records (EHR), in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Stay current with best practices, research, and developments in psychiatric nursing and women's health, sharing knowledge with the team as appropriate.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing psychiatric nursing practice.
• Valid and active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in CA, NY, NJ or TX.
• Ability to work independently in a 100% virtual environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on patient-centered care.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare software.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
• Experience working in women’s health or perinatal mental health
• A flexible and curiosity-based approach to problem-solving
• Self-starter with a passion for women’s health

Benefits & Compensation

• Hourly rate range (based on experience/expertise): Starting at $80/hr
• Access to professional development training
• Preferred Days/Hours (negotiable - evenings and weekends especially)
• All work will be remote - meetings will be held virtually.
• Professional equipment to facilitate virtual care (e.g., laptop) must be provided by contractor.
