Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to assess and manage accident and weather-related property claims from a remote field setting, serving Canonsburg, PA and surrounding zip codes. You will inspect properties, gather information, and guide insureds through the claims process with exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
• Interpret detailed policies and apply them to real-world situations.
• Learn unfamiliar concepts quickly and apply knowledge practically.
• Interact with policyholders, agents, and stakeholders to move claims forward.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficient with mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims in field and remote work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass MVR/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments for residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and other involved parties to resolve claims efficiently.
• Explain coverage to insureds and guide them through the claims process with excellent service.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare reports to support claims handling.
• Investigate and adjust claims with exposures up to $500,000 and negotiate settlements within limits.
