Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; IIA-AIC designation within 12–18 months.
• State adjuster license required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Examines policies to determine coverage.
• Interviews or contacts claimants and witnesses.
• Reviews police/hospital records and inspects damages.
• Estimates repair or replacement costs.
• Prepares findings and negotiates settlements.
• Recommends litigation when settlements fail.
• Attends litigation hearings.
• Updates reserves for probable costs.
• Assists in loss experience reporting.
