Job summary

Trader Hire seeks experienced proprietary traders to trade equities and options using firm-allocated capital in a fully remote setup. You will develop and test your personal strategies with structured risk management and mentorship, operating as an independent contractor (1099).

Based in Fargo, ND or remote, this role offers performance-based splits from 65% to 90%, starting capital up to $50,000 with potential to scale beyond $500,000.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience trading options or currencies.
• Solid understanding of derivatives markets and trading fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-oriented.
• Stable computer setup and reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Familiarity with trading platforms is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Construct and execute options trades aligned with your defined edge and risk tolerance.
• Track volatility surfaces, skew, and term structure to inform strategy selection.
• Size positions appropriately using portfolio-level risk metrics, not just per-trade stops.
• Adjust hedges and roll positions in response to changing market conditions.
• Document trade theses, entries, exits, and post-trade reviews for ongoing improvement.
• Engage with peer traders to share market views and refine strategy ideas.
