Job summary

Elementsolutions is seeking a Machine Learning / AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI/ML solutions for a federal government program. The role spans data prep, model training, deployment, and monitoring in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities include building scalable ML pipelines, applying PyTorch/TensorFlow, and ensuring secure, compliant inference. Requires US citizenship or permanent residency and HUBZone familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in ML/AI roles
• Proven production-grade ML delivery experience
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Advanced SQL development experience with complex queries
• Experience leveraging LLMs in development
• Experience deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and frameworks (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI)
• Experience with streaming or real-time inference systems
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency; reside in Continental US; HUBZone encouraged
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, mission-driven environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy production-grade AI/ML models across multiple use cases
• Design and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines from data to deployment
• Apply PyTorch and/or TensorFlow for advanced models
• Implement scalable model serving with secure, low-latency inference
• Collaborate with data engineers to prepare large-scale datasets
• Translate business needs into ML solutions
• Monitor production models, detect drift, and plan retraining
• Ensure compliance with federal security and governance standards
• Participate in Agile sprint cycles and reviews
• Document architectures, training methods, and deployment processes
