Job summary

Ducks Unlimited, Inc. (DU) is hiring a Private Lands Biologist to deliver conservation programs and technical assistance to private landowners and agricultural producers in Northeast Missouri.

The role emphasizes promoting pollinator habitat, native grasslands, and regenerative practices to improve soil health and water quality. The successful candidate will join a team of biologists, engineers, GIS specialists, and conservation partners, working from a home office with travel across the region

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in wildlife management, biology, ecology, range management, agronomy, agriculture, natural resources, or related field.
• Two+ years of professional conservation program delivery or habitat management experience.
• Experience working with private landowners and agricultural producers.
• Knowledge of regenerative agriculture, soil health, wetlands, and conservation planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and with diverse partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one technical assistance to landowners and producers.
• Promote pollinator habitat, native grasslands, field borders, buffers, and wildlife-friendly practices.
• Develop conservation plans to enhance habitat diversity and agricultural productivity.
• Assist with delivery of the Fabius Watershed Initiative and related objectives.
• Coordinate with NRCS, state/federal agencies, and other partners to implement practices.
• Maintain project records and reporting; travel throughout the region.
