Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a REMOTE Prior Authorization Specialist I to join our team. The role focuses on reviewing orders, initiating prior authorizations, and performing benefit investigations to support accurate billing and reimbursement.

You will work with payers, providers, and patients, ensuring compliance with medical policies while maintaining documentation and meeting service levels in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School or equivalent with minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.
• Labcorp training in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology completed and assessed.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming orders to verify completeness for prior authorization.
• Initiate and manage prior authorizations per payer requirements.
• Communicate with vendors, payers, and insurance representatives to facilitate submissions.
• Monitor status of requests and perform follow-ups to support timely determinations.
• Maintain records of authorization requests and related activities in databases.
