Job summary

Soleo Health is seeking a Prior Authorization Pharmacist to support our Specialty Infusion Pharmacy remotely in the USA. The role requires 2+ years of PA experience, PharmD or B Pharm, and strong PBM knowledge. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm MST preferred, with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include clinical reviews for PA requests, payer communications, appeals as needed, and cross-functional collaboration to improve patient access to therapy.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted U.S. pharmacist license.
• 2+ years of experience in prior authorization, utilization management, PBM, managed care, or payer pharmacy operations.
• Strong understanding of drug therapy, clinical guidelines, specialty medications, and formulary management.
• Excellent analytical, clinical decision-making, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews for specialty pharmacy and infusion therapy prior authorization requests.
• Evaluate documentation against payer criteria and guidelines; prepare and track PA submissions.
• Communicate with PBMs/health plans to clarify information and resolve authorization issues.
• Mitigate denials with real-time outreach and evidence-based appeal letters when needed.
• Collaborate with patient access and internal teams to optimize therapy access.
• Monitor authorization outcomes and stay current with payer policies and regulatory requirements.
