Job summary

Pharmacy Careers is seeking a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist to work from home with a flexible schedule and high clinical impact. As a fully remote role, you will review medication requests, apply evidence-based criteria, and determine approvals or denials while ensuring CMS, state, and plan compliance.

You’ll collaborate with clinical teams and directors to optimize member access and care, all with predictable hours and no commute.

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree required.
• Active, unrestricted U.S. pharmacist license.
• Experience in hospital, ambulatory, community, or clinical settings preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and authorize or deny prior authorization requests per plan criteria.
• Apply evidence-based guidelines and formulary rules.
• Document determinations clearly for providers and members.
• Collaborate with medical directors on complex cases.
• Maintain CMS and health-plan compliance in documentation.
