Job summary

Maximus seeks a Principal DevOps Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise DevOps, cloud architecture, containerization, software delivery, and automation. This role establishes architecture and engineering best practices, guiding complex initiatives and partnering with development, cloud, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions for government programs.

Qualifications

15+ years enterprise IT experience with solution architecture, cloud platforms, software development, integration, delivery leadership, and government program experience preferred.
Strong coding skills with .NET 4 and .NET 8+, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Vue.js.
Strong experience with SQL Server, data modeling, and performance tuning; knowledge of OIDC, SAML 2.0, and JWT authentication.

Responsibilities

Define and implement DevOps and containerization best practices, software release pipelines, and automation across the enterprise.
Lead and mentor DevOps teams; promote competencies and excellence.
Define, develop, and implement configuration management for the SDLC.
Manage source code with version control; supervise builds and packaging from source.
Collaborate with Cloud Services for installations/upgrades/deployments/containers.
Develop automation scripts for build, deployment, and versioning tasks.
Resolve complex problems related to version control and CI systems.
Work with developers, testers, and IT ops to automate builds, deployments, and CI environments.
Oversee large, technically complex projects and ensure service delivery excellence.
15+ years enterprise IT experience with solution architecture, cloud platforms, software development, integration, delivery leadership, and government program experience preferred.
Full-stack development experience with .NET 4/8+, JavaScript, Vue.js; SQL Server; data modeling; security-focused design; AWS familiarity; SSRS is a plus.
