Job summary

ZoomInfo Technologies LLC is seeking a highly experienced Principal Data Engineer to define and evolve the architecture, engineering standards, and operating model for the enterprise data platform. This IC role will lead critical architectural decisions across data ingestion, storage, transformation, governance, and observability while mentoring engineers and driving best practices.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in software/data engineering.
5+ years designing and operating large-scale data platforms.
Deep knowledge of lakehouse/warehouse architectures, batch/streaming processing.

Responsibilities

Lead data architecture and system design for scalable platforms.
Set engineering standards for testing, CI/CD, observability, and security.
Drive technical decisions across multiple teams without direct authority.
Build and improve data products with cross-functional teams.
Mentor engineers and establish playbooks for consistent delivery.
Collaborate with analytics, security, and product stakeholders to ensure trusted data.
