Google Cloud, Mandiant is seeking a Cyber Defense Principal Consultant to enable efficient incident response within a Cyber Defense Center. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver recommendations for incident response and SOC improvement.

The role involves working with CDC/CSIRT teams, managing investigations, and protecting client data across industries. Competitive compensation includes base salary, bonus target, equity, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity or related field.
• 8 years of experience in SOC/malware research, threat hunting or similar roles with EDR/SIEM.
• Experience leading incident response and communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with multiple operating systems and directory services.

Responsibilities

• Identify challenges in customer Cyber Defense Centers and plan improvements.
• Conduct real-time analysis using SIEM, endpoint, and network technologies.
• Advise on CDC, CSIRT, and SOC management activities.
• Research cybersecurity intelligence to improve SOC incident detection and response.
• Develop client relationships with senior stakeholders to drive resolutions.
