Job summary

Virginia Tech’s Sponsored Programs division in the Office of Research and Innovation is seeking a Pre Award Associate to assist faculty with proposal development and ensure compliance with sponsor and university policies. The role requires initiative, independence, and problem-solving under deadlines.

The successful candidate will work with faculty, staff, students, and sponsors in a fast-moving environment and may travel to the Blacksburg, VA campus as needed.

Qualifications

• Budgeting or financial experience and/or experience with non-profit program administration.
• Experience with accounting, finance, or government/business regulations and administration.

Responsibilities

• Advise faculty in the preparation of proposals for funding.
• Ensure compliance with university and sponsor policies and requirements.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, students and sponsors to meet deadlines.
