Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team in the Midwestern region, with base locations across MO, IL, KS, KY and a remote option. Travel to offices/clients may be required.

You will drive project controls across major infrastructure programs with a focus on cost, schedule, and performance. The role oversees multiple high voltage and EHV substation/transmission projects, ensuring quality delivery, governance, and compliance while advancing controls innovation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or other related field within the Power & Energy Market.
• 10+ years of relevant post education experience, preferably in a project management role within the Power Delivery/Utility Industry.
• Minimum of 3 years applicable industry experience working and/or providing services for IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, etc.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading engineering and/or construction teams on medium to large electrical utility scale clients for high voltage and/or extra high voltage transmission line type projects.
• Familiarity with financial analysis tools in a utility setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project planning process including initiation, design, engineering, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out for multiple concurrent projects.
• Manage project implementation including project schedule, project budget, and the project resources including external vendors and contractors.
• Lead client discussions and develop/grow client relationships.
• Serve as the primary project authority on major project-related issues.
• Responsible for metrics tracking, reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with regulatory, corporate, and department procedures during all project phases.
