Job summary

The Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography (MIO) at Aix-Marseille University seeks a 24‑month Postdoc to join a HFSP project on the atmosphere as a living ecosystem. You will develop and apply microbial bioenergetics ecosystem modelling tools to study habitability and activity of atmosphere-dwelling microorganisms.

Based in Marseille, you will collaborate with international partners, present findings at conferences and publish in leading journals, with supervision by Dr James Bradley.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant natural science discipline with publications.
• Specialist knowledge in numerical, bioenergetic modelling.
• Strong mathematical and programming skills.
