Job summary

A leading technology firm is seeking a Linguist for a remote position to develop language components for voice-enabled technologies. The ideal candidate must have a Master’s degree with native fluency in Brazilian Portuguese and/or European Portuguese, experience in linguistic data analysis, and familiarity with large language models. Responsibilities include providing linguist expertise, collaborating with teams on data operations, and evaluating data for ML models. This is a 9-month contract role.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in industry.
• Experience with speech and text data in multiple languages.
• Familiar with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide linguistic expertise in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics.
• Collaborate with other linguists and data operations teams.
• Evaluate and curate data sets for ML models using LLM solutions.
