Job summary

The Foundation for California Community Colleges seeks a Research Specialist for Strategic Policy, Innovation, and Research (SPIR). Qualifications

• 3+ years of research, evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and/or project management experience.
• Experience in higher education systems and working with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to write in-depth professional reports and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to advancing student success and equity through research and evaluation of initiatives.
• Plan, design, and implement research projects aligned with policy priorities.
• Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources.
• Conduct quantitative analyses using Stata and support large datasets with SQL and Stata.
• Prepare qualitative data analyses using Atlas.ti and ensure data quality.
• Conduct literature reviews and secondary policy research to support proposals and papers.
• Develop briefs, reports, data visualizations, and presentations for policy translation.
• Provide data expertise to SPIR and Success Center teams and collaborate with external partners.
• Develop and maintain project plans and track milestones using Asana.
