Job summary

BLACK MEN & WOMEN IN TRAINING seeks a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our integrated clinic. The role offers both remote and in-office work, serving patients in Oregon and Washington with local presence.

You will diagnose, treat, and support diverse mental health needs within a collaborative team. The ideal candidate holds MSN or DNP with a PMHNP track, is APRN licensed and PMHNP-BC certified, and excels in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting using EHR systems

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice with a PMHNP track.
• Active APRN state license and PMHNP-BC certification.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams and use electronic health records effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and suicide/crisis risk assessments.
• Formulate diagnoses using DSM-5 and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications with attention to side effects and interactions.
• Provide psychotherapy, including individual and group therapy with CBT and motivational interviewing.
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, nurses, therapists, and clinic staff.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment goals, and adherence.
• Work remotely and in-office across OR and WA with local presence.
