Job Title and Overview

Highbrow is recruiting Plumbers for the Common Lives Project, a research program using wearable GoPro footage to improve AI understanding of skilled manual and maintenance work. Record your daily plumbing activities—repairs, installations, maintenance, or inspection tasks—as part of this short‑term paid project.

Responsibilities

• Wear a head‑mounted GoPro camera to capture daily plumbing work for 5 separate days within a 2‑week window.
• Record at least 7 hours per day, with flexibility to pause for breaks and privacy.
• At the end of each day, spend around 2 hours to:
  • Upload your footage to a secure platform.
  • Decide whether to delete, anonymize, or consent to each segment.

Household/Workplace Requirements

• No children (under 18) present or visiting during the recording period.
• All adults in the workspace must be fluent English speakers and provide consent.
• Must work in a private, self‑contained environment such as a personal workshop, garage, or job site.
• All workers appearing in footage must agree to be recorded.

Participant Requirements

• Must perform indoor plumbing work (e.g., maintenance, installation, or repairs).
• Preferably self‑employed or have employer consent to record on job sites.
• Comfortable using a computer for reviewing and uploading video clips.
• If multiple plumbers or assistants are present, all should wear GoPro cameras.

Technical Requirements

• Must have access to a computer and stable internet connection.
• Able to use web‑based tools for upload/review (training provided).
• GoPro camera and accessories will be provided by Highbrow for the duration of the project.
• Commitment Required: 5 recording days within a 2‑week window.

• Location: United States only.
• Due to consent regulations, participants must NOT reside in the following states/provinces.
