Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Plant Pathologist & Disease Management Specialist to diagnose and manage plant diseases across crops from a fully remote position in the United States. Formación

• PhD in Plant Pathology or a related field
• 7+ years in plant pathology focusing on diagnosis and management
• Deep knowledge of major plant diseases and epidemiology
• Ability to interpret remote symptoms and field data
• Experience with molecular diagnostics is a plus
• Strong agronomy, crop physiology, and genetics
• Excellent scientific writing and remote collaboration
• Proven ability to work independently on research projects
• Familiarity with statistics and data interpretation
• Passion for sustainable agriculture

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose plant diseases through remote analysis of symptoms and data.
• Research plant pathogens, their life cycles, and factors influencing disease development.
• Develop and recommend IPM/IDM strategies for various crops.
• Evaluate efficacy of fungicides, biological controls, and resistant varieties.
• Advise clients and field teams on disease prevention, monitoring, and control measures.
• Stay updated on emerging plant diseases and management challenges globally.
• Contribute to diagnostic tools and databases for plant pathogens.
• Prepare scientific reports and technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with international research institutions and agricultural organizations.
• Provide training and educational resources on plant disease management via virtual platforms.
