Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Coding Specialist, Physician Coding for a remote role supporting the Physician Billing Office. The ideal candidate has physician coding experience with strong knowledge of E/M coding, outpatient procedures, and specialty-specific coding practices.

Required CPC or equivalent certification and a High School Diploma comply with state and federal guidelines. Primary location: Remote - Florida with approved states for remote work.

Qualifications

• Physician coding experience is required.
• Experience with E/M coding and outpatient procedures is preferred.
• Specialty-specific coding experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT-4 procedure codes.
• Apply E/M codes across applicable places of service.
• Code minor office procedures, specialty-specific testing and procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Follow established coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance to support physician billing and reimbursement.
• Identify coding discrepancies and documentation issues per procedures.
