Job summary

Reliable Software is seeking a PHP Developer to join its remote team. You will develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using PHP and related technologies, designing robust database schemas and ensuring performance and security.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams in a long-term engagement with growth opportunities. The ideal candidate brings strong OO PHP with MVC experience, solid SQL (Oracle) knowledge, and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks

Qualifications

• Strong PHP development background with OO design and MVC patterns.
• Experience with SQL (Oracle) and ANSI SQL syntax.
• Hands-on with large JS frameworks (JQuery, ExtJS, Prototype).
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XHTML; exposure to AJAX and web standards.
• Experience with LAMP or OPAL stacks and source control (Git/SVN).
• Familiarity with web services integration; strong communication and remote work capability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and related tech.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code and optimize DB schemas.
• Integrate web services to enhance functionality and performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and ensure security and scalability of apps.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and developers; participate in code reviews.
• Stay updated with trends and create intuitive UI with modern web tech.
