Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Pharmacy Audit Technician to perform pre-audit and onsite reviews across pharmacy networks. The role requires travel up to 75% and the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

You must hold a Pharmacy Technician license, be PTCB certified, and have 2+ years in pharmacy audit or health insurance environments. Proficiency in MS Office is expected and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License for the state of residence.
• Must be currently certified by the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board).
• 2+ years of experience in pharmacy audit, PBM, healthcare investigations, or health insurance environment.
• 2+ years of experience processing pharmacy or medical claims.
• 2+ years of independent investigative work with analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-audit work including travel planning and desk audit activities.
• Onsite and desktop audits to identify discrepant pharmacy claims.
• Assess site premises for regulatory compliance and records completeness.
• Gather and review documentation related to pharmacy operations.
• Provide answers to questions from pharmacy network providers on rotation.
• Report findings to pharmacy network providers.
• Review and QC audits for quality and accuracy.
