Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks an Adverse Event Coder to encode adverse events, medical history, and medications using MedDRA/WHOdrug dictionaries. You will adhere to SOPs, generate data queries, and work with medical monitors and data management to meet project timelines.

The role requires 2+ years in pharmacovigilance or clinical data management, strong medical terminology knowledge, and excellent communication. Experience with MedDRA/WHODD and coding tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related health science background.
• 2+ years industry experience in pharmacovigilance, clinical research, and/or clinical data management.
• Experience with MedDRA and WHODD.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, clinical trials and coding.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Code according to departmental conventions and SOPs.
• Generate queries for clarification of potentially discrepant data.
• Collaborate with medical monitors and data management teams to ensure timely coding.
• Support data coding consistency reviews and SAE reconciliation as needed.
• Assist in interdepartmental training of new staff.
