Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a Remote Pharmacist (Prior Authorization / Clinical Review) for a contract-to-hire arrangement. You will review clinical criteria, patient profiles, and communicate with prescribers to resolve questions.

The role is fully remote in the U.S., requires an active Pharmacist license, high-speed internet, a private workspace, and camera-on training. Training runs about five weeks, with schedule options Mon–Fri or Sun–Thu.

Qualifications

• Must hold active Pharmacist license in good standing in your state of residence (include license # + expiration date).
• High School Diploma/GED (verifiable).
• Ability to meet remote work requirements: High-speed internet minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload.
• Dedicated private workspace (no screen visibility / conversations overheard).
• Smartphone required (VPN token).
• Camera-on participation for trainings/team meetings.
• Reliable work history (avoid unexplained gaps / frequent short tenures).
• Strong retail pharmacy background (Pharmacy Manager experience or 2+ years as Staff Pharmacist with same employer).
• PBM / Prior Auth experience (1+ year in a PBM setting handling Prior Auth — not MTM).
• Residency/fellowship, leadership projects, or comparable initiatives.
• New grads considered if leadership/residency/fellowship experience is strong.

Responsibilities

• Review and apply clinical criteria to complete prior authorization decisions per policy/procedure.
• Review patient profiles for interactions, sensitivities, and appropriate medication use.
• Communicate with patients and prescribers by phone/mail to resolve clinical questions.
• Enter/verify prescriptions and perform final accuracy checks as needed.
• Maintain quality/security standards (including controlled substances and hazardous waste processes).
• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with competing priorities.
