Job summary

DLB Associates seeks a People Manager, MEP Design to lead a cross-discipline MEP team remotely from anywhere in the United States. The role focuses on day-to-day people management, growth, and building a high-performing, cohesive group across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.

The ideal candidate has substantial MEP background to credibly guide teams, excellent leadership and communication skills, and comfort working asynchronously across time zones to advance the Design

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, Building Systems, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in MEP design.
  • 2–3 years in formal people management.
  • Experience managing in a fully remote environment preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day people management for a cross-discipline MEP design team.
  • Foster remote culture with accountability and clear communication across time zones.
  • Develop growth plans to accelerate entry-level employees.
  • Lead performance reviews and coaching for direct reports.
  • Coordinate with HR, department leadership, and project leads to optimize workflows.
