Job summary

Mission Hospital, part of Mission Health in Asheville, NC, seeks a Patient Safety Attendant to monitor at-risk patients from a dedicated station and support the acute care team with safety and well-being.

You will observe and document patient status, alert staff promptly to risks, protect confidentiality, and collaborate with nurses to uphold compassionate care. This role requires relevant certifications and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Watch patients with continuous focus to ensure safety and well-being.
• Identify risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alert the care team.
• Document patient activity and changes with accuracy and clarity throughout your shift.
• Honor patient privacy by safeguarding confidential information at all times.
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to foster a culture of compassion, respect, and teamwork.
