Job summary

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is seeking a Patent Agent in the Computer Science or Computer Engineering field to join our Intellectual Property practice. This position may be remote in any state where Dinsmore has an office.

Responsibilities include patent preparation and prosecution, portfolio management, strategic analysis, and opinion work, with significant client contact. A BS in CS/CE is required; Ph.D. or industry experience is preferred, and USPTO registration is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in networking, virtual networking, and cloud computing.
• Telecommunications experience, 3GPP standards preferred.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Ph.D. and/or industry experience is preferred.
• Academic credentials and excellent research.
• USPTO registration.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
