Barely Theory, a skincare-focused startup, seeks a Part-Time Remote Social Media Content Creator. You will produce engaging posts, Reels, Stories, and short-form videos, staying on top of trends and shaping our brand voice.

The role prioritizes creativity over credentials: no college degree required, but you should live in or near Downtown Tampa and be ready for occasional in-person shoots and events. Flexible hours offer 5–15 hours weekly at $15/hour with raises after 30, 60, and 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must live in or near the Downtown Tampa area.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
• Creative, trend-aware, and able to recognize content opportunities.
• Interested in skincare, beauty, wellness, or acne education.
• Willing to learn about skincare products and ingredients.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Comfortable using Canva, CapCut, or similar creative tools.
• Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines independently.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment and helping build a growing brand.
• Previous content creation or social media experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging posts, Reels, Stories, and short-form videos.
• Stay updated on TikTok, Instagram, skincare, beauty, wellness, and lifestyle trends.
• Turn current trends into original content that fits the Barely Theory brand.
• Write clear, creative captions that match our brand’s voice.
• Research skincare products, ingredients, routines, and acne-related topics.
• Help plan and manage a monthly content calendar.
• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms.
• Respond to comments and messages professionally.
• Track engagement and suggest ways to improve content performance.
• Help increase awareness of Barely Theory and bring traffic to our website and app.
• Collaborate with the team on campaigns, launches, promotions, and brand-building projects.
• Participate in occasional local content shoots, meetings, and events in the Tampa area.
