• Lead breaking news coverage with fast, accurate updates for digital audiences.
• Collaborate with photography, design, and digital teams to enhance storytelling with visuals.
• Track newsroom progress toward publication deadlines and manage the news budget.
• Mentor reporters to develop writing, interviewing, and reporting skills.
• Participate in editorial planning meetings and contribute to long-range story development.
• Maintain strong community awareness to support relevant local coverage.
