Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point seeks an Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to develop instructional design and curriculum for courses in the World Languages and Literatures program. Faculty will teach classroom, online, and laboratory formats and assess student performance across practices and standards.

The position is part-time, fixed-term, and hired per course; teaching load varies by semester with potential partial remote opportunities.

Qualifications

• M.A. in German, Spanish, or related field.
• Experience teaching language courses.
• Ph.D. in German, Spanish, or related field (preferred).
• Experience teaching culture courses either in the target language or in English (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations.
