Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a High School Math Teacher to deliver online instruction in a virtual environment. This part-time role requires a state teaching license, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to work up to 25 hours per week with independent home-office setup.

You will monitor student progress in Stride K12's LMS, collaborate with families and learning coaches, and align lessons with state standards. Occasional travel up to 20% for professional development may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND Active state teaching license AND ability to clear required background check.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, and use it to drive instructional decisions.
• Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers.
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to modern technologies and teaching platforms.
• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Maintain grade book, monitor student progress, and communicate with families.
• Differentiate instruction and adapt to student needs within an online environment.
• Assist with state testing preparation and follow academy policies and procedures.
