Job summary

Charles River CFO, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fractional and/or Interim Controller to join our remote team. This part-time position involves working with clients in the credit union industry, leading all accounting operations and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in senior finance roles, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and preferably hold a CPA certification. Experience in credit unions is essential to provide strategic financial oversight to our clients.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in senior finance or controller roles.
Prior credit union or banking experience required.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and experience with conversions.

Responsibilities

Lead all accounting operations in support of executive management.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, NCUA, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
Coordinate annual financial audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors.
Implement and maintain effective accounting and internal control frameworks.
Analyze and report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.
