Job summary

Pirate Ship, a remote-first ecommerce shipping software company, seeks a Paralegal to support the General Counsel in contracts, IP, compliance and governance. The role combines admin and legal work in a fast-paced tech environment, with cross-functional collaboration and periodic in-person meetings.

Qualified candidates have 2–5 years of paralegal experience, strong drafting and research skills, and proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite. Travel is required on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in tech or law firm.
• Strong legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Counsel with drafting, reviewing contracts and documents.
• Manage intellectual property portfolio, filings and renewals.
• Support compliance and governance initiatives.
• Coordinate governance documents and internal policies.
• Provide administrative support, scheduling and file management.
• Travel quarterly domestically and internationally.
