Job summary

Burnham Law seeks a detail-oriented Paralegal to support a variety of matters across domestic relations and other practice areas. You will organize cases, draft documents, assist with hearings, and communicate with clients while supporting attorneys on challenging cases.

You have 2+ years of paralegal experience, strong writing and organizational skills, and proficiency with Filevine or Google Calendar. This role offers flexible work arrangements in Colorado.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of paralegal experience in domestic relations (family law).
• Experience with Filevine or Google Calendaring.
• Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, disclosures, discovery requests, and correspondence.
• Assist attorneys with case management, calendaring, deadlines, and trial preparation.
• Maintain and organize electronic case files in the firm's case management systems.
• Communicate professionally with clients, providing updates and gathering information.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw.
• Assist with preparing exhibits, binders, witness lists, and trial notebooks.
• Manage discovery processes, including organizing, reviewing, and summarizing documents.
• Coordinate court filing, e-filing, and service processes.
• Support attorneys during hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Collaborate with legal assistants and other administrative staff to move cases forward.
• Perform other duties to support smooth operations.
