• Apply evidence-based guidelines and formulary rules to approve/deny requests.
• Communicate determinations clearly to providers and members in writing.
• Collaborate with medical directors on complex or high-cost cases.
• Document decisions in CMS, state, and health-plan systems.
• Support process improvements to reduce turnaround times and improve member experience.
