Job summary

SmartCardia Inc. is seeking a Cardiac Technician for weekend overnight shifts. This remote role supports the U.S. and offers 28–32 USD per hour, with preference for candidates near Des Plaines, IL.

You will analyze ECG recordings, review algorithm findings, and communicate urgent results to physicians while maintaining HIPAA standards. The team focuses on AI-powered cardiac monitoring and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the credentials: CCT, RN, EMT, or CRAT.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of experience in cardiac monitoring OR strong academic background in a cardiac-related field.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, especially cardiology-related terms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• A reliable, private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and stable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients to follow up on reported symptoms.
• Assist patients with device disconnection troubleshooting as needed, supporting continuous, high-quality monitoring.
• Uphold HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality at all times.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Must have at least one of the following credentials: Certified Cardiovascular Technician (CCT), Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT). Applications without one of these credentials will not be considered.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of experience in cardiac monitoring OR strong academic background in a cardiac-related field.

• 2+ years of experience in cardiac telemetry, Holter scanning, or other ECG interpretation roles.
• College degree in a cardiac-related field, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Located within commuting distance of our Des Plaines, IL office.

Schedule & Training

• Status: Full-time, 36 hours per week
• Shift: Overnight, three 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 PM-6:00 AM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM CT)
• Weekends: Saturday and Sunday night shifts required every week, plus one weekday night
• Training: 2 weeks, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours
