Ellie Mental Health in Alexandria, VA seeks an Outpatient Therapist to support our mission of expanding access to quality mental health care. The role focuses on diagnosis evaluation, treatment planning, documentation, and collaborative care within a values-driven team.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in behavioral sciences, is or will be licensed (LMFT/LPCC/LICSW/LP), and demonstrates strong communication, boundaries, and timely record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral sciences from an accredited program.
• Active licensure in LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, LP, or eligible.
• Experience completing DAs, treatment plans and clinical notes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients.
• Proficiency with Office 365 and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create and implement a treatment plan, document sessions per policy.
• Provide excellent client service and collaborate with a team to expand access to care.
• Use creative interventions to help clients reach goals.
• Prepare and submit session documentation per guidelines.
• Full-time clinicians must maintain a minimum caseload of 25 client visits per week.
• Coordinate services with case managers, families, and school/work personnel.
• Attend clinical staff meetings and trainings.
